PRICING & COST

Pricing & Cost FAQs

How much does appliance repair cost in Naperville?

Most residential repairs run $100–$400 depending on the appliance and part needed, on top of a $99 diagnostic fee (which is applied toward the repair, not stacked on top, if you approve the work). Commercial visits start at a $150 diagnostic fee. Complex repairs — a refrigerator compressor or an oven control board — run higher; you always get a flat price to approve before anything starts.

Is there a fee just to come out and diagnose the problem?

Yes — a flat $99 residential diagnostic fee ($150 commercial) covers the technician visit, inspection, and diagnosis. If you approve the repair, that fee is applied toward the final price instead of being charged on top of it.

Do you charge more for evenings, weekends, or rush jobs?

We're open Mon–Sat, 7am–8pm at the same flat rate throughout those hours — no after-hours or weekend surcharge within that window. Call to confirm availability outside those hours.

Is it worth repairing an old appliance, or should I replace it?

Generally, if the repair costs less than about half of a comparable new unit and the appliance is under 8–10 years old, repair is usually the better value. Your technician gives you an honest repair-or-replace opinion at diagnosis, not a sales pitch to fix it regardless.

SCHEDULING & BOOKING

Scheduling & Booking FAQs

Do you offer same-day appliance repair?

Often, yes. Calls placed before early afternoon usually get a same-day window; calls after that typically get next-day, depending on how the day's schedule is filling up when you call.

Do I need to be home for the whole appointment?

You (or another adult authorized to approve the repair) need to be home while the technician diagnoses the issue and while you approve the flat-price estimate before work begins.

Will I know when the technician is actually on the way?

Yes — you get a call or text heads-up before your technician heads over, so you're not stuck waiting around an all-day window with no update.

How do I pay for the repair?

Payment is collected once the repair is complete and you've approved the work — ask our office about accepted payment methods when you book.

WARRANTY & GUARANTEE

Warranty & Guarantee FAQs

What warranty comes with a repair?

Every repair is backed by a 90-day warranty on parts and labor. If the same issue comes back from our work within that window, we return at no charge.

What happens if the same problem comes back after 90 days?

That visit is treated as a new repair with a new diagnostic fee, same as any issue outside the warranty window. Your technician will tell you honestly whether it looks like the original repair failing or a genuinely new problem.

Do you use original manufacturer (OEM) parts?

We source quality parts appropriate to the brand and repair — OEM when it makes sense — and every part is covered under the same 90-day parts-and-labor warranty either way.

Which areas do you serve?

REFRIGERATOR REPAIR

Refrigerator Repair FAQs

How much does refrigerator repair cost?

Most refrigerator repairs run $150–$400 plus the diagnostic fee. Ice maker repairs typically run $80–$180; a compressor replacement can run $400–$800, with Samsung/LG tending to run higher and Whirlpool/GE lower.

Why is my refrigerator not cooling but the freezer is fine (or the reverse)?

That kind of split usually points to an airflow or evaporator-fan problem rather than a failed compressor — a frost-blocked evaporator coil is one of the most common causes. A diagnostic visit confirms it quickly.

My ice maker stopped working — is that a quick fix?

Usually, yes — at $80–$180, ice maker repairs are typically faster and cheaper than a full refrigerator repair, and it's rarely a sign the whole unit is failing. See the full Refrigerator Repair page for every symptom we fix.

WASHER REPAIR

Washer Repair FAQs

How much does washer repair cost?

Typical washer repairs run $150–$500. Top-load repairs tend toward the lower end ($50–$300); front-load repairs run a bit higher ($100–$400) because of more complex parts.

Why isn't my washer draining?

A clogged pump or drain hose is the #1 cause of a washer that won't drain — often a fast, affordable fix once it's properly diagnosed.

My washer won't spin — what's usually wrong?

Most no-spin issues trace back to a worn lid switch, drive coupler, or motor. See the full Washer Repair page for the complete symptom breakdown.

DRYER REPAIR

Dryer Repair FAQs

How much does dryer repair cost?

Dryer repairs typically run $100–$430, averaging around $180. Electric dryer repairs usually run $50–$400; gas dryer repairs run a bit more ($100–$450) because of the igniter and gas valve components.

Why isn't my dryer heating up?

A failed heating element or thermal fuse is the most common cause on electric dryers; a worn igniter or gas valve is the usual culprit on gas dryers.

My dryer takes way too long to dry — is that a fire hazard?

It can be. A clogged dryer vent is the most common cause of slow drying, and it's also a genuine fire-safety issue — worth having checked rather than just running extra cycles. See the full Dryer Repair page.

DISHWASHER REPAIR

Dishwasher Repair FAQs

How much does dishwasher repair cost?

Dishwasher repairs run about $75–$600, averaging $200–$225. Whirlpool and Frigidaire tend to be the most affordable to repair; Samsung, Bosch, and Kenmore Elite run higher due to more complex electronics.

Why isn't my dishwasher draining?

A clogged hose, filter, or pump is the usual cause. Check and clear the filter first, but a persistent clog usually needs a technician to fully clear.

My dishes come out dirty even after a full cycle — why?

That's most often a spray-arm blockage, worn detergent dispenser, or low water pressure reaching the unit — all things a technician can pinpoint in one visit. See the full Dishwasher Repair page.

OVEN, STOVE & RANGE REPAIR

Oven, Stove & Range Repair FAQs

How much does oven or stove repair cost?

Basic oven/stove repairs run $75–$200; more complex issues like a control board or sensor run $200–$500. Electric ovens typically run $100–$250; gas ovens run $100–$400.

Why isn't my oven heating up?

On electric ovens, a failed heating element is the most common cause. On gas ovens, it's usually a worn igniter or a control board issue.

My gas oven heats up really slowly — is that normal?

No — a slow-heating gas oven usually points to a weak igniter that needs replacing, not just an old unit warming up gradually. See Oven Repair or Stove & Range Repair for more.

COOKTOP REPAIR

Cooktop Repair FAQs

How much does cooktop repair cost?

It depends on the type: gas cooktop repairs average around $153, electric smooth-top around $192, and induction cooktops average around $536 (range $200–$800) due to more complex electronics.

A burner or zone on my glass cooktop won't turn on — what's wrong?

On electric/glass cooktops that's usually a burnt-out coil or a faulty infinite switch — typically a $180–$300 fix (more if it turns out to be the power board).

Is it worth repairing a cracked glass cooktop?

A cracked cooktop surface generally needs replacement rather than repair — glass cooktop replacement typically runs $300–$800, which your technician will weigh against a full-unit replacement cost.

GARBAGE DISPOSAL REPAIR

Garbage Disposal Repair FAQs

How much does garbage disposal repair cost?

Repairs typically run $70–$400 (InSinkErator units around $80–$180). Full replacement, if needed, runs $200–$550, or $175–$700 installed.

My disposal hums but won't grind — what should I do?

That's almost always a jammed impeller plate. Turn the unit off at the switch right away — running it while jammed can burn out the motor — then call for service.

My disposal is leaking from underneath — can that be repaired?

Usually not — a leak from the bottom of the unit typically means a failed internal seal, which isn't field-repairable. Replacement is the standard fix. See Garbage Disposal Repair for more.
